My Students

I teach two very diverse 5th grade classes! They love hands on learning and creative projects. We would love to be able to do lots of research to learn new things, but our technology is limited. My students are trying as hard as they can every year for me and themselves and I want to show them that I notice it. They speak different languages, learn at different rates and with many different styles. They are working on being lifelong learners.

My Project

These are books so my students can read for enjoyment from home. We can use this as something to connect all of us, something that is the same for all of us. We can talk about how we are experiencing the book differently and connect with one another about something outside of the pandemic. I also want to make sure all of my students have at least one book to read at home. This is something they can also get their whole family involved in reading and share some time together.
