This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Living in a rural community, agriculture is a vital part of our local economy. My students range from 7th through 12th grades who see agriculture around them every day. All 7th and 8th graders will come through my door for a semester each year to learn introductory lessons about agriculture. This allows all students to get a taste of agriculture education before entering high school.

In my classroom, my students learn a broad range of information about agriculture, food, and natural resources.

Through these subjects, my classes teach students a wide variety of skills, including science, math, communications, leadership, management, and technology through hands-on activities and projects.

My Project

As an educator, my goal this year is to focus on getting our shop laboratories fully up and working at top efficiently. With a few new welders, it has definitely become apparent that we need more work spaces.

This portable welding table will be perfect for moving around the shop with a variety of projects!

My students are craving more and this table will help them expand on their welding skills with the Arc, MIG, and TIG processes.

Help make the LRHS one of the best shops and learning laboratories around! Every little purchase and piece of equipment is getting our students industry ready.
