Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our students need to be physically active; it helps them learn and process information better, as well as make them healthier. My classroom aims to promote learning and lifelong fitness to improve a child's life.
We, as a nation, are becoming increasingly unhealthy; diabetes, heart disease, and obesity are becoming major epidemics with our kids, and they are all preventable and controllable.
Our kids need to get active and creative. We need to help them change their lifestyles! My students are Pre-Kindergarten through 5th grade. They attend an inner-city elementary school. They are great students and love physical education and art activities. My students love to move and always enjoy the activities I do with them.
My Project
We know that life is not black and white, currently, our student work is. Our students want to work with color and reflect real life. Our students need crayons to complete many different projects and activities. These crayons will allow students to add color to their work. From art projects to graphing and mapping, literacy to numeracy, these crayons will be used in every area of the school.
Each individual classroom needs these crayons to have the tools to produce colorful true to life work.
The students will enjoy being able to develop bright, colorful work that represents the world they live in.
