This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Reading and pretend playing are daily occurrences in my therapy room. My students with autism love colorful books with pieces that can be moved around to make different meanings. Their communication skills improve when using toys in pretend play. They need a hands-on model of a mouth to understand how to say different sounds. They have challenges staying seated at a table for more than five minutes.

Your donation will allow me to purchase adapted books that improve vocabulary and oral expression, as well as other materials to help them learn and stay focused during speech therapy.
