Have you ever received a glittery Christmas card or valentine? Did you think it was beautiful? My students love to use unique art supplies, but my budget does not cover all of the extra art supplies I would like to get for my second graders.
I am an elementary second grade teacher, and I also have a degree in art.
I love incorporating art into all subjects. I teach in one of the largest elementary schools in our state. Our budgets are stretched to the max, as is the case all over the country.
My twenty second graders are very creative and love using art to express themselves throughout the school day. They like to experiment with new materials and pride themselves in creating very unique artwork.
My Project
I am requesting glittery art supplies to add sparkle to their projects. We have some glitter, but I am requesting some new and exciting colors. I would also like glitter crayons, tissue, paint and gel pens for our art center. The students will be able to use these supplies to make cards and artwork for every occasion. They make valentines and Christmas cards for soldiers and nursing home residents. Our pen pals live in Australia and we enjoy sending glittery artwork to them all year long.
I know that my second grade students will be absolutely thrilled to get glitter and glitter crayons, paints, paper, and gel pens to use in our writing projects.
They are so creative and I know they will be able to come up with unique, glittery creations. These supplies will be fun to use and will make their artwork sparkle. They will be so excited and proud to share it with others.
