Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Most of my students are not from the neighborhood. Many of our students come from different areas because we are known as a "hub" school. This means that all students are not coming from the same background. We are a Title I school with students coming from a low socio-economic background.
My job as their teacher is to push my students to be the best version of themselves that they can be, no matter their background!
My students want to learn. They come to school ready to learn and to better themselves every day.
Because of the varying backgrounds, it is difficult to keep all students engaged at all times. I have to reach students from different backgrounds and different home lives at the same time.
I strive to create a classroom environment that is inviting to all. I strive to maintain an environment that encourages all students to come to school daily to learn.
My Project
We would love to have an ACTIVpanel in our classroom. We currently operate with a projector and a whiteboard. An ACTIVpanel would help engage my students in their learning. My students would be able to engage with whole group lessons and also use the panel during workstations.

Interactive whiteboards used to be the thing to have in your classroom. The technology has changed and now these ACTIVpanels are all the rage! This panel is backlit which helps the students interact with it more easily. The students don't have to worry about stepping in front of a projector while working. The number of games, lessons, and engagement opportunities are endless with this ACTIVpanel.
Thanks for helping me provide my students with the technology that is necessary in today's environment. I can only imagine how this panel will change my classroom and the way my students are engaged in our lessons.
