My Students

My students are learners that work best in a small group setting with emphasis on individual needs. Many of my students are kinesthetic learners and need to be stimulated by activity in order to engage in learning. My students have specific learning disabilities and physical disabilities that range from ADHD, Autism, health impairments, and intellectual difficulties.

Each one deserves the opportunity to have control over their learning environment and make choices that will help them be successful learners.

My Project

I am seeking alternative seating choices for my students in the form of the Kore Wobble Chair. My goal is to provide active seating that will promote a student-centered classroom. Research shows that providing flexible seating options such as the Kore Wobble Chair allows movement and strengthens core muscles, promotes sensory input and energy burning to help with focus and processing information, and helps the student feel empowered by having control over their learning environment.

Active seating is a positive way to make an impact in the classroom!
