Let's run and have some fun while we play and learn each day! Help me give my students soccer balls, outdoor bowling equipment, and balancing beams. It is my goal to get my PreK and Kindergarten students moving and active while they are engaged in fun outdoor activities.
Children at this age engage in learning through gross motor play, social emotional experiences and language development.
My students are between the ages of 3 and 4 years old. Many of them are experiencing school for the very first time.
I love my students and want them to have as many opportunities to grow and learn while in my care!
An important part of becoming a successful learner is developing the ability to self-regulate in a variety of situations. Toddlers and Preschoolers become more active learners while adults still provide guidance. Children draw on emotional and behavioral self-regulation skills in many ways. They develop different coping strategies to manage feelings while playing with other children. Children are able to do this during gross motor play. If a child is able to develop these skills through play, research has shown that they will be successful learners. In addition, students learn skills such as catching, skipping, jumping, climbing, kicking, balancing and running.
