My students need more opportunities to move and work on their gross motor skills by learning to pedal/ride a tricycle and balance themselves on the number stepping stones while learning his/her numbers.

My Students
I work in an inner city school district in an integrated Pre-K classroom. One hundred percent of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. Many receive backpack food for the weekend. Our school runs a food pantry once a month and provides coats to any child in need during winter months.
My students are creative, curious and very active.
Although many of our students face challenges, I am confident I can motivate my students to be life long learners. I am looking to further engage my students through adding additional tools, resources and experiences to my tool belt.
My Project
Having tricycles for the students to use in and outside of the school building will give students an opportunity to use and practice their gross motor skills. Some of these three, four, and five year old's have never had the opportunity to learn how to pedal a bike. Keeping the students active is important to their learning as well as to their health. They will also use the number rocks as a fun interactive way to learn numbers 1-10 while also working on balancing.
Your generous donation to our project will improve our Pre-K classroom by providing additional gross motor activities for both indoors and outdoors.
This will change our students' lives for the better because they will love indoor and outdoor active play even more than they already do. They will truly have fun while learning.
