This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are amazing and eager to learn. We do a lot of partner work, cooperative learning, and buddy learning. All of this helps bring out the awesome ideas they each have and can share together. Each of them have so much to share. During the school year it’s great to see them grow as learners and friends. I teach in an urban school and my students and I very much appreciate any support to build up their desire to learn!

My Project

My students would love having their own clipboards as they work alongside others! They learn so much from each other and with the clip boards they can easily move about tbe classroom! The flexibility truly helps them engage in different books and technology. My kids could use their boards to do research, cooperatively learn, and keep themselves organized. They just love having ownership of their materials and can learn the importance of organizational skills! Using colorful highlighters learners can add to their clarity and understanding. For example we practice highlighting main ideas and details using different colors which second graders love to do!
