My Students

Active participation is extremely important to me as a teacher!

Over 75 percent of the students in my class are males who enjoy active and engaged learning activities.

In order for ALL my students to be successful, I feel the responsibility to supply those rich opportunities for them to learn and develop skills that are necessary for their future success as learners and critical thinkers.

Technology is a very large part of their world and, and they need to be prepared to use a variety of tools to engage their world.

My Project

A document camera would be such an asset to my students! My students need a digital document camera to increase engagement and ultimately, enhance the learning process.

This one piece of classroom technology can be used to actively engage students in the learning process.

Visual learners will benefit from a document camera by seeing small items, text, and demonstrations in a much bigger way on the classroom Promethean board. This tool will help my young, diverse learners to see written language clearly and help them become proficient readers, writers, mathematicians, and critical thinkers.

An endless amount of activities can be displayed under the camera for the entire class to see, reinforcing the skills taught visually.
