My students attend a Title I school. They are from varied backgrounds with a variety of life experiences, but they have one thing in common and that is love and joy of learning and creating new things.
These first graders enjoy drawing, writing, technology, listening to music, singing along to songs, and dancing to videos in order to help them learn.
They enjoy interacting with one another throughout the day. They also like lying down on the floor to complete their work and read books with one another.
My Project
Outdoor engagement is just as important as indoor engagement. Students need to move their bodies so that they can focus on learning when they are indoors. Keeping them active by providing them with balls, jump ropes, a soccer net, hula hoops, and other outdoor games will help them to use energy and help them focus better in their classroom.
Engaging students bodies is just as important as engaging their brains.
It increases their chances to focus on work once they return to the classroom. Our school is new, and we have a marvelous new playground, but we don't have enough materials for everyone to play with. Adding these outdoor activities will help engage all of our students in activities during recess.
