This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are incredible. They are kind, funny, inquisitive, frustrating, rewarding, witty, smart, capable, beautiful, unique, world changers. They always volunteer to lend a helping hand.

They know that our classroom is a place where every single one of their ideas matter.

It is a classroom where every single one belongs, where every failure is an opportunity to grow, and differences are embraced rather than being a divide.

Each day I feel honored to be their teacher.

My Project

Nearpod is a great way to keep students engaged and excited about the learning process. The virtual simulation/field trip option is a great way for my students to explore different parts of the world and different environments all from their home.

I currently use NearPod but an unlimited subscription will allow me to store more lessons, have access to more NearPod resources, and improve the learning process.

The content that I will have access to with unlimited Nearpod will allow my students to take virtual field trips, record themselves summarizing a lesson, and respond to engaging, open ended response questions.
