My Project

Not only has COVID set our students back academically, it has put a damper on their outlook on school. There are still many students who reluctantly attend school or participate in class because they worry about sanitation. Others have struggled transitioning back to the school setting because they have not rebuilt confidence needed following the academic achievement gap. What's worse, is they feel they are alone in this struggle, which is far from true. Students yearn for the encouragement to create, collaborate and communicate.

A co-created positive learning environment allows students to take ownership and accountability to maintain it with pride and respect.

Students will have a place of belonging, creativity and innovation.

It doesn't stop there--students are able to harness and apply their math content in ways that require diligence and collaboration amongst peers. The heat press and Cricut maker are avenues which will help students organically apply skills such as ratios and proportions when scaling designs. It will also foster team building and enhance communication throughout the classroom of different characteristics.
