My students come from a wide variety of backgrounds and experiences. Their individual needs in the classroom vary greatly, and yet, they have learned to embrace each other's differences and work to build a strong classroom community. Some of our proudest moments have come about when we are working in small teams towards a common goal. Even the most reluctant or struggling learners will get excited by the challenge and work with his/her team to accomplish the goal. I want to continue to provide my students with these learning experiences where we can all get excited and learn together in an authentic way.
My Project
The PEEQ Qball throwable microphone makes participating in class discussions more fun as students get to toss the microphone around to their classmates. This will also be important in our innovation lab as students will be spread around the room working on various projects.
I want my students to be encouraged to speak up and to create their own masterpieces in our new innovation lab.
The HUE camera will make it easier for the teacher to demonstrate the details of a hands on activity for the entire group before sending students off to work in small groups. Lastly, our students are creating videos using a green screen and having a stand for the iPads to record on will help facilitate this process.
