My students are in 6th-8th grade and are in my science/special education class and they are simply amazing! They’re quirky, love learning, need hands-on activities and graphic organizers to truly grasp the knowledge. Especially with all the concepts taught in 8th grade like Newton's laws/atoms! Content can get quite difficult as they balance home life, eight classes, and school life.
Students are still recovering from the traumatizing events that occurred due to COVID-19, they are in high need of emotional support and an environment that is fun and exciting.
They need the support more than ever and deserve a better year!
Thank you so much with your consideration in funding our project!
The galaxy projectors will be used to give students an out of this world experience by making a tunnel as they come into the classroom to "visit space"!
The rest of the materials will be used as follows: the vacuum, masks, & wipes will be used to keep our classroom clean. The chips, jolly ranchers, pencils will be used as incentives for students who get questions about the content on space correct. I plan to create a Jeopardy game of sorts and best team gets the snacks. Anything helps and is super appreciated! Thank you and have a blessed day!
