My Students

My classroom consist of students with various disabilities. Those disabilities include mild to moderate learning disabilities, autism, traumatic brain injury, and speech delays. My students have various and unique needs.

My students enjoy interactive activities that allow them to access the curriculum.

My students all have diverse learning styles. My students are mostly kinesthetic, tactile, and visual/auditory learners.

My population of students include 5 girls and 14 boys. Some of their interests include; playing football, cheerleading, boxing, drawing, and playing the guitar.

My Project

The Chromebooks will be used to close the learning gaps that my students face on a daily basis. My students enjoy using computer programs such as MobyMax. My students have made tremendous gains using this program; however, with limited resources, my students have little access to the technology they need in order to succeed further. My students will also take the state test online beginning this year. Having these Chromebooks will allow my students the opportunity to have access to items that will allow them to practice for this test.

Having these Chromebooks will allow my students to experience a variety of learning modalities in my classroom.

With the use of the Chromebooks, I will be better equipped to individualize learning centers that will promote higher learning for my diverse learners. My classroom is not yet at the level technology wise to meet the needs of my diverse learners. This grant will allow my students more opportunities to help close their achievement gaps.
