My twenty two students are young and energetic second graders that are always working towards achieving their best. They are truly a joy to teach and they are dedicated to the growth of their own learning. Each day my students are making strides to reach weekly, monthly, and year long goals that they have set for themselves. My second graders come to me with diverse learning needs, backgrounds, and skill sets. As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom.
Despite the many challenges they face, I am trying to provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences based on their individual needs.
We all know that accidents happen! Unfortunately my Mac computer was drenched with an accidental water bottle spill by a very upset second grader! He was beyond sad, upset and devastated that our classroom technology outlet couldn't be repaired! As always, I hugged that little boy and said "accidents happen, and we will figure out a way to get it back!"
Our Mac has gone to Apple heaven!
Please consider donating to our project so we can use our Apple MacBook Pro in our technological world! We want to continue to be able to make iMovies, use our Apple TV and have access to the latest and most innovative devices that technology has to offer!
