Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our students are vibrant and will brighten up your day! They can be an energetic bunch. They are hard workers and love to show this to anyone who walks into our school or whoever they see in the hallway.
Our students are an amazing group of children with different abilities and personalities.
They are busting at the seams to learn. They are excited to learn and grow.
My Project
Undergarments are needed ASAP! Our school clothing closet is scarce! Our school clothing closet stores underwear, sweaters, socks, sneakers, uniform shirts, pants, skirts, and shorts for our students in grades Pre-Kindergarten to eighth grade. When students have soiled their clothes and/or shoes they are able to get a fresh, clean, and sometimes brand new clothing item to change into.
We need more items for our uniform closet because our supplies have been severely depleted by helping keep students in clean uniforms and donating uniforms to newly enrolled students and students/families in need.
Your generous donation will ensure that our students have clean and brand new underwear and socks to keep them in school learning. For some of our students, this is their first time attending school because of COVID. Accidents have been occurring due to their first time attending school this year and issues that come with it: scheduled routine bathroom breaks, asking permission to use the bathroom, figuring out how to undo a belt, etc. This project will enable our Family Resource Liaison to provide our students with brand new underwear and socks for when our students have accidents and to help keep them in school.
