Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Band class is unlike any ordinary class. Aside from the obvious signs of the class not having the traditional chair and desk look, the students in my class are unlike any other. To be specific, the band students always are enthusiastic, even on the gloomiest days and are always filled with positive energy. Although most of them don't come from wealthy backgrounds, they always come and strive to be great.
However, our music department is a true exception.
Our combined choir and instrumental programs have produced phenomenally talented young adults and leaders who strive to inspire countless audience members. It is difficult to distinguish them as ordinary high school students at first glance, yet little do you know how much they are empowered through the arts.
My Project
Every single day, we have about 30 percussionist coming into the room trying to play a special instruments. It is a struggle for me and my students because we have to deal with not having the instruments. With your donation, we can get these brand new accessories and will not be a hassle to use instruments not required. We will also be able to play new music. There are many pieces that me and my ensemble want to play but without the essential equipment we will not be able to play the music. Thank you for your time and consideration.
