My Project

Students are like our fingerprints; no two are the same. They all come with their own personalities, dreams, and wants. For this reason, we need to tailor our classrooms to represent the variety of needs that need to be met.

Providing accessible seating allows students to choose a place that will best serve them and their unique needs in the classroom.

Students deserve to decide if they sit in a traditional desk, at a high table, on a bench, or on a floor cushion. Some students can't accessibly sit in a desk or on the floor, so they need other options. Traditionally designed classrooms limit the inclusivity of students with special needs, especially when it comes to seating arrangements. I have carefully selected the seating options based on feedback from my students about the types of seating options feel are accessible to them. By donating to our project, you will provide students with a choice in improving their learning environment that they control.
