My Students

I am the fortunate teacher of a bubbling, bright and engaged fifth grade class. I am new to this classroom and to this school, but I have never felt more welcomed to a school community than I have at Woodstock.

Now that I am half way through my first year here, I am eager to bring my classroom into the 21st century.

As you can see from the photo to the right, I have to use a very outdated method to teach my mini-lessons. This project will help me teach more effectively.

My Project

For the entire year, I have been teaching my mini-lessons on an old chalkboard easel that is unstable and dysfunctional. I think has been in our building for 50 years. When I started teaching in September, my classroom had no furniture in it, I tired to be resourceful, but now I am ready to update my room.

I am unable to teach effectively from this very antiquated resource.

This new tool will enable me to work efficiently. I would very much appreciate bringing my classroom into the 21st century.
