My students are primarily military students of multicultural backgrounds. They are all such wonderful students, and I'd love to be able to provide an enriching and loving education for them.
Students in my classroom have moved from countries all around the world.
They bring lots of cultures to the classroom and have a lot of insight and diversity to bring into the classroom. Students in my class have so much to offer and I want to make sure they have the resources and tools available to continue progressing and to share their knowledge with their classmates and myself.
My Project
These materials will be used by every student daily during whole group instruction and student learning centers.
The book bins will provide designated spaces for leveled books so that students can easily locate books within their individual reading level.
The bin colors and sizes will help students identify a book's level and genre.
The lapboards will be used for whole group instruction to practice and extend student learning. I will be able to gauge student understanding by glancing at students' lapboards and see who needs additional support and who is able to work independently.
The milk crates will provide seating for students at one of the learning centers. I will work with a small group of students at a time and they will use the milk crates as chairs. The crates easily slide under the work table for maximum space saving and storage.
