My Students

I have an amazing group of students. They come from many different backgrounds.

I love teaching fifth grade and specifically these students!

Many of them come from low-income families. Some of them have hard lives, but that has not caused them to be bitter or to be disrespectful.

I want to help my students be successful in whatever career path they choose, and I believe that they are capable of accomplishing great things with their lives. I tell my students frequently that my expectations for them are very high, because I know they are capable of reaching and exceeding those expectations.

My Project

Please help me give my students these standing desks. My students love being able to stand when they are working. I have a very active group of students, and rather than force them to sit, I want to encourage them to stay active while still getting their work done.

These standing desks will help my students to focus.

When my students are sitting, they are constantly fidgeting, because they are so active. Being able to stand while working will help them to stay focused on their work and get things done.
