Abilities Outweight Disabilities With Spedtacular Students!
Help me give my students the tools they need to help them be successful throughout their day! Some of these items are basic everyday supplies that my students families can't afford to purchase on their own!
Our learning resource classroom is a place where students (Kindergarten - 5th grade) with intellectual learning and social/emotional disabilities receive individualized support. Our school is a Title 1 school (at least 40% of the student demographic come from low-income families) where many of our students deal with adverse childhood experiences on a daily basis.
Students receiving support in our classroom have a variety of disabilities that make learning very difficult.
The students in our classroom range from kindergartners up to fifth graders. We need your help to make these tools available to our students who need them!
Our Learning Resource students are hoping to receive materials to motivate and reward them as they complete their work or when a break is needed. These items will help our students function in the school setting both in their general education classes, as well as in our learning resource classroom.
Play is still important as children get older!
The games on our list will help us keep our brain active as we develop appropriate social play skills. Working with friends also promotes social skills, creativity, problem-solving, and motor development. Classroom essentials, like pens, paper, and markers are also very important!
