My class is made up of 10 amazing students who all face difficult challenges. My students are challenged with severe disabilities including Down Syndrome, Autism, Hearing Loss, Speech Impairment, and other medical diagnoses.
The students that I serve have faced many challenges in their short lives, but my goal is to help them continue to learn and grow in their academic and social/emotional skills to be contributing members of our community.
My Project
These materials will make a difference in my students' learning by providing fun learning opportunities through games and hands-on activities. My students are 5, 6, 7 and 8 years old, but they are all at a preschool developmental level. These amazing kids learn best through hands-on activities and games targeting essential skills including learning ABCs and 123s.
Worksheets have become more and more common, even in kindergarten!
Worksheets are not the best way for my students to learn due to their disabilities and developmental levels.
By providing fun learning opportunities through games and hands-on activities my students will learn while having fun!
