Open the wonderful word of reading to my students. My students need leveled engaging books to read to help them develop a love of reading.
These are young students just starting out in their academic career.
They are facing a new school year in a classroom with very few books. Please help us fill our library with leveled reading material to help every child experience the joy of reading. With the challenges our school is facing with budget cuts we do not have the funding to adequately fill our classroom bookshelves. These students need books access to as many books as possible.
My Project
Remember those books you read as a child and asked you parent to read again and again? We are asking you to help us give that experience to these students in the classroom. These Dr. Suess books and leveled readers will enrich student fluency, comprehension, and love of learning. Dr. Seuss books teach fluency through patterned reading and silly rhymes and have children laughing and wanting more. Leveled readers provide reading material to a variety of readers, helping all students feel successful and builds knowledge and confidence.
These Dr. Seuss books and leveled reading series can make a significant impact on our student's lives not only in the classroom but at home as well.
These books will build fluency, comprehension, and knowledge that will go beyond the wall of our classroom. A love for reading will transfer to the home as well and encourage parents to read with the children, enriching vocabulary, knowledge, and imagination.
