Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I teach Kindergarten in a Title 1 school that is located in the center of a new housing community. The students in my classroom are diverse culturally and economically.

I am a 2nd year teacher who is trying to get Math and Language Arts manipulatives for my tactile learners. I teach one of several Kindergarten classes at my school, so getting supplies can be an issue at times.

If my students get the supplies I am requesting they will be able to practice letter formation, sorting by color, and counting with various hands-on games. In addition to the manipulatives, my students will be able to better organize and store their class projects with the student file chart I am also requesting.

If this proposal is funded my students will have access to hands on learning games which will help them reach several California State adopted standards for Language Arts and Math.
