I am a special education teacher and I work with students in grades k-3. The students in my classroom vary significantly with their ability levels. Not all of my kiddos have the same needs; therefore, I am always searching for a plethora of teaching materials, ranging from learning the abc’s to boosting fluency and comprehension. Although my students differ in a variety of ways, one way they are similar is that they thrive on fun, hands-on, and engaging learning experiences.
My Project
I’m in need of some hands on manipulatives for my kinders! Worksheets are too boring... we need the good stuff! I would love to be able to add more activities to my kindergarten centers. Not only will these activities help with letter and sound recognition, but they will be great for strengthing my students’ fine motor skills and keeping my motorized kiddos busy learning. In addition, I am a special education; therefore, it is common for me to have multiple grades in my classroom at once. These activities will be perfect for some independent practice and some small group instruction.
