My classroom is filled with amazing three and four-year-olds who love to learn! Some of my students are typically developing and some of my students have special needs. We are an inclusive bunch. Our own school family where everyone's strengths are honored and we help each other grow in the areas we are not as strong in. My students are smart, kind, and unique! We all are working on communication and social relationships as well as academic progress. Being a part of our classroom family has everyone growing in leaps and bounds.
My Project
My students have a wide range of abilities, but no matter what hands on learning opportunities are long lasting and fun!
I am really enjoying how the materials are adaptable and able to be played by children at multiple levels.
The ABC Mystery Box can serve as a label the object to match the item to its letter. The Launch Game will be engaging to all even if they are matching or identifying lowercase letters. The Alphabots will engage our engineering skills while exposing to alliteration and letter identification! The Prewriting Board will engage students not interested in paper and pencil work.
The Rekenrek is a fantastic tool for developing number sense, counting, and pre-addition/subtraction. The trays will make it simple to use hands on materials vs paper pencil to graph and count using one to one correspondence. The blocks will help build our shape repertoire. Lastly the light filters will improve our concentration.
These materials will kick our alphabet and mathematic knowledge up a notch!
