Mrs. Greig from Springfield IL is requesting supplies through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need games and materials to help teach letter knowledge. These materials will help them learn the letter names and sounds so they can learn to read.

Help us learn to read! We need materials in our classroom to help learn the alphabet. We need to know the letter names and sounds to learn to read. ABC stamps, points, dotters, and ABC cups help us learn our letters! These materials will help me teach students with different learning modalities.
I'm a kindergarten teacher in a public school in IL.
My students are sweet kindergarten students that are so eager and willing to learn. They work so hard in our classroom. They come to school everyday with smiles on their faces ready to start the day.
These ABC materials will help my students learn the letters and sounds of the alphabet. Alphabetic knowledge and phonemic awareness is the strongest predictor of reading potential. It is so important that all students learn their letters and sounds. When we have materials to teach this, they will learn it sooner and begin reading text sooner! The alphabet movie is a great activity for students who are struggling to learn. I will be sending the extra copies home for students to watch after school. This is a great way to connect school and home. Please help us learn letters. All students deserve a chance to get the best reading instruction. These materials are important for our school!
My classroom was added as an additional classroom, after enrollment went up.
Because of this, there are not many materials for my classroom. My school doesn't have extra money in the budget to buy supplies that I need. My students are missing out on a lot of learning because I don't have the supplies and materials that are needed to teach the alphabet in a a fun and creative way. Help these students get the materials they need to learn the alphabet and become readers!
