Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our FIRST Robotics program and STEM electives provide hands-on experience in solving real-world challenges and expose students to physics, biology, environmental science, mechanics, electronics, programming, CAD and digital design, financial management, teamwork, and leadership.
These students are emerging scientists, engineers, software designers, and artists of all grade levels, with diverse backgrounds.
Your help is needed as our school is Title I funded and the FIRST Robotics event requires significant operating costs.
My Project
Occupational health and safety is as important for professional workspaces, factories, and labs - as it is for our high school students.
With these supplies, you can help provide our FIRST Robotics Competition team (FRC) with the resources needed to ensure they are safe from wood and metal particles with portable shop lights to see their space under workbenches and vacuum for quick cleaning of the hard to reach nooks and crannies of the shop space, and future field PIT to ensure we are abiding by FIRST guidelines for safety and cleanliness of our space.
Furthermore, we need to improve our PPE and FIRST aid equipment. We want to use these resources to be a beacon of safety guidance to others, and lead the way in industrial hygiene within competitive robotics events.
