Help me give my students a functioning, inviting classroom library with a cozy rug, comfortable seating, and thoughtful organization options for our class books.
My goal is to create a warm and inviting environment for my students to explore the world through books. My second goal is to create this area to be conducive to productive class meetings, Social Emotional Learning, and group/partner projects. I’m an avid reader myself, therefore a strong advocate for reading, so I want to create an area that invites curiosity and fosters imagination.
I love the idea of the plastic book bins for each student to store books, bookmarks, and sticky notes (to take notes and mark pages with information they want to refer back to). The pillows are so adorable and seem to say, "Come with me. Adventure awaits!" The rug mimics soft grass just right for my whimsical classroom.
