ABC, 123, Help Make a Reader Out of Me!

My students need 5 sets of high interest books on their reading level!

My Students

Do you remember what is was like to pick up a new, exciting book and just couldn't wait to read it? Wouldn't you like to be a part of inspiring a struggling reader simply by putting great literature in the hands of those who need it most?! You can be the change!

I have 26 energetic, ready-to-learn second graders!

I am thrilled to see their enthusiasm for learning and their drive to become better readers! Their school is located in a low socioeconomic area in which 88% of the students are considered economically disadvantaged. Over half of the kids in my class are English language learners and the school's resources are very limited. With 26 kids, finding books that are on their level is difficult, if not impossible. They are so excited about reading and need good fit books they can read on their own!

My Project

My kids are in desperate need of books for our classroom library that are on their level! This means they need books they can read on their own. I am asking for books leveled D through I. In our classroom library, I have no lower level books! This means my struggling readers are the ones who suffer the most. With a new set of books that are not only on their level, but are of high interest, my kids will gain confidence in their reading abilities.

Please help my students by donating so they can have books that inspire them to become better readers!

A correct level book in the hands of a young child is incredibly important to their success as a reader!
