Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My class consists of wonderful first graders in a high ESL and low-income area. They are budding writers!

I love books and would love to see more great authors write fantastic books that I can read in our classroom. My students are those authors. They tell fantastic stories and let their imagination run wild! Sentences and pictures are shared on a regular basis. They love to demonstrate their talent for putting words on paper! To publish these ravishing works in their own book would be thrilling and exciting!

These kids have really enjoyed the class books we have made in the past. Our own class laminator and book binding machine would make it possible to publish books on a weekly basis. Students would then be able to take home original stories and share them with their family. This process of publishing will motivate these kids to write for years to come.

Let tomorrow's authors write today! Give these kids the tools to publish their first story and generate writing for a lifetime.
