Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Curious and determined are two characteristics that best describe my students! Each new day presents fresh ideas and topics that probe the minds of my future leaders and they are up to the challenge of learning new things.
My students represent the first generation of their family to be educated in our educational system.
They ask questions. They explore. They are rarely absent from school and they truly embody "e pluribus unum"; the phrase that is posted in our classroom. They deserve better because they make our community better.
My Project
Your generous and thoughtful donation will strengthen our classroom's "Writing Station". With the clip boards to write on in different areas of the classroom, heavy duty pencil sharpeners for their regular and colored pencils, and comfortable flex-seating for group collaboration and individual space, our students will defintely know they have the right to write!
Technology has made our daily learning environment conveniently accessible to express thoughts and views with the help of a keyboard.
However, it is also very important for our students to keep practicing their writing skills on paper. Utilizing proper space and tools to format not only writing and hand-writing skills, but also include sketching and illustrations to match their thought processes.
