My students need access to new reading materials. We will be studying A Wrinkle In Time and would love to have more copies of the book for our classroom.

My Students

We are a Title I school. My students come from environments that are not the best conditions first thing in the morning. This means that we have a high percentage of children coming to us from low income families or neighborhoods that are not the safest locations for them to come on the bus from. What that means is that our student population has a very high percentage of families that live at or below the poverty line. Many students come to school to eat and have a place of security.

My Project

My students continue to need access to new and exciting forms of literature. Disney has recently remade the book A Wrinkle In Time and I want my students to be able to experience the book and see the movie. We will be breaking down this book and its characters to get excited about reading. I want to share the wonder and exploration of reading with my students. I want to show them that they can explore other worlds when they read. I want to give them the opportunity to experience A Wrinkle In Time as a group and experience the adventure going to the movie theater.
