Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Elementary years of education are devoted to learning the basic skills that will serve as a foundation for lifelong learning. Our students are inquisitive, hard-working, and are encouraged to keep trying even when tasks feel hard.
Many of our students could benefit from supplemental instruction, both in academics and social-emotional learning.
Our students live in a low-income/high-poverty area, and are faced with many daily living challenges. We encourage our students to strive for the best, because they deserve the best. Our school is continuously making great progress with our students, both academically and social-emotionally.
My Project
The supplies I am requesting are to help the school's special education department better meet the needs of their students and their families. The printer will be used to display student data in color, which helps families better understand their student's performance.
Oftentimes, we get charts and graphs that look much more complicated when in grayscale.
That's why the special education department would like access to a color printer that can help make more sense of the pictures we show parents about their child's academic growth.
Also, having access to a personal shredder will support the staff in continuing to protect the identity of the students we serve. The supplies we are requesting will assist us in making school a great experience for ALL children!
