Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students' personalities are so colorful and fun! I have a total of 46 students coming to my classroom every day. They are all energetic, caring, bright and love coming to school. What makes them truly special is their desire to learn not one, but two languages in our dual immersion program!
My students are eager to learn and are curious about the world around them.
My students are learning so many things about the world around them, different cultures, language, math and more! As emerging bilinguals (and even tri-linguals!) they are constantly asking questions to learn more about the world and people around them. They are constantly curious about things we are reading, pictures we are looking at, and the activities we are doing.
My Project
My school has just reopened three years ago after being closed. We are still working on getting materials and supplies for students and teachers that other schools have. The printer and ink I am requesting will make material more accessible and exciting for my students. When they are given resources, the color printer will allow them to access the material better and assist them in becoming even more engaged in using resources available to them.
They will be able to write better descriptions of pictures, learn about the use of color in cultures, and more easily access resources to support their learning and more!
Many of my students are visual learners! These materials will help my students access the curriculum and materials needed to ensure they are successful at school!
