Hello, I'm a 9th grade history teacher at Leadership High School in San Francisco. I teach three World Studies classes to a diverse group of inner city students. My ability to convey the thoughts, feelings and experiences of people around the world is limited by the lack of visual aids in the classroom. I am asking for a television and a VCR/DVD player for my classroom. There are numerous videos and dvds available from the local library or video store that I would love to use to enhance my students' learning, but I am unable to because the TV several other teachers and I share is a small 15". It's very hard to read subtitles on such a small screen. Plus I don't have a DVD player, and many movies or documentaries now are only made in DVD format. We would like a TV that is at least 27-32", with a VCR/DVD player. We would also like a television cart, so that this resource can be shared with other classrooms.
