A Well Represented Classroom Library

Help me give my students diverse books for read aloud! We have a very diverse school and I want to make sure all students are represented in my classroom library!

My Project

This collection of books will further expand my students' views of the world. I want to have the resources to dive deeper into issues of racial injustice and black history as well as representing people from different places across the globe.

Books should be mirrors and windows for children meaning they see themselves sometimes and other times they can get a new perspective.

It is important to me that we have books that feature diverse characters and not just historical figures. This collection of books will inspire my class of 1st graders as they become readers this year!
