My students need a fresh, new, and welcoming carpet as they begin their day with circle time.

My Students

My classroom consists of 28 students, ages 3 to 5 years old. My students exhibit curious minds and the desire to learn. It is important to provide materials to allow the students diverse opportunities to role play, explore, and interact in a variety of classroom domains.

My students are enrolled in an International Baccalaureate school, which aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people.

The children are in school 6 hours each day. It is important for them to feel a sense of ownership in everything the do. The classroom is designed with the students in mind. Our staff want the children to feel safe, loved, and important.

My Project

Currently, my student's have an old, outdated circle time rug. As hard as we try to clean it, the rug remains dingy. I would like to have a circle time rug that is fresh and clean, with calm and cool colors, that support the foundation of my classroom.

As International Baccalaureate learners, by creating a more peaceful and calming environment, the children are better able to maintain focus on peers, teachers, and activities.

The new circle time rug is the center piece in the classroom.
