My Students

My students walk into our classroom every day full of life, ready to learn, and excited for what is in store for them that day. I want them to know I believe in them and they can do anything!

I teach at a small rural school in West Georgia where 100 percent of our students receive free breakfast and lunch.

Many of my students receive backpack food on the weekend. Despite so many hardships, my students are eager to learn and do their best. They want to be in school because they want to learn all they can so they can be successful one day.

My Project

Thanks to donors like you we have the beginnings of a wonderfully inviting classroom where all learners are able to learn how they learn the best. I'm requesting a sofa and a bean bag chair with an ottoman to add to the preferential seating. These seating options will create an area for independent work as well as station activity. Currently, we have a standing table, sitting table, a stool table, a swimming pool filled with pillows, a regular sized couch, and a table with crates. Every students needs are different and they love to explore each sitting option to decide which works best for their learning styles.
