Help me give my students the tools needed to professionally record their shows and choreography. When they can review the work they've done, they can grow even more as artists.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are part of a rural community that come from many walks of life. Many of them are children of military, migrant workers, among several others. They have the opportunity to be some of the first among the district to have the opportunity to be enrolled in dance. Since becoming the teacher over this re-started program, my students have seen amazing growth and progress in their dance technique. I am proud to call them my students and watch them grow every day!
My Project
Every semester, we end the class by performing all of the work we've done throughout the course of the semester. Getting to see the amazing work they've done in dance can make the students grow as dancers and people. Everything these students do needs to be recorded in some way so they can both remember choreography when posted in Google Classroom and reflect on their growth after the show. The camera is equipped with a great microphone that will record all music, as well as a very clear imaging system. This will allow the students to see the video and hear the music as it was in the show, without delay. The tripod and memory card are auxiliary and will help to prop the camera and give it expanded storage.
