My students need trays and baskets to help us become proactive in the area of organization. The student desks are small and space is limited to storing only two textbooks.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
The desks in our classroom are small, and the storage basket underneath is so small it is limited to holding only two textbooks. Students have nowhere to store folders and workbooks, and if they do try to stick them underneath the desks, materials are found strewn everywhere on the floor. Help us!
I teach at a Title I funded school.
In my third grade class, there are 22 students on roll. I have a great class of students who are learning to be leaders in our school. The students are taking on a change in lifestyle with the Leader in Me program that is adopted by our school. Students learn that to be a leader means you are a leader all the time and not just sometimes. They are learning to be responsible, respectful, and resourceful.
My Project
I am requesting hard sturdy baskets/trays that will accommodate their daily essentials like practice workbooks, folder, and writing instruments. I am also requesting additional baskets to help our classroom become more organized when turning our work in.
The project is very important because it teaches the students a very important life skill which is organization.
Organization can lead to a healthier stress-free lifestyle. I need the materials to help demonstrate to students how organization can help lead to better classroom management.
