Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My kindergarten students are eager young scholars that walk into my room every day ready to engage in hands on learning activities.
My students come from working families that depend on after school care so as a result, many of my students are in school late in the day.
Regardless of their long school days my students are excited about school every morning.
They are active participants in the painting, cutting, creating and building activities of the day. Taking into account the length of their day my students require activities that are engaging and allow for individual their individual creativity to shine.
My Project
A clean classroom is essential for young kindergarten minds to feel ready as they start their day excited to learn new concepts.
Kindergarten students learn through play and hands on activities which can be messy but worth the adventure, so having a vacuum to clean my room daily rather than waiting for my room to be cleaned once a week would benefit my students.
Making sure that students start the day with a fresh new start in a clean environment allows for a smooth transition.
A dirty classroom is not inspiring for young minds.
Providing my students with the best classroom environment is essential since it is their first school experience and I will not get a second chance to make a first impression.
