This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are hardworking, honest, and humble students who deserve to have all the opportunities! They are in grades 4-6 and vary widely in their understanding and all come from very different backgrounds, cultures, and demographics. The majority of my students are from other countries and speak English as a second language.

My Project

I want to help provide my students a leg up on learning loss by providing technology tools that can not only help in the classroom, but also provide better learning at home by giving me a way to still show my work through the use of technology. I will use the iPad and smart pen to help provide visuals for students in class (I could take it with me as I circulate to help each individual student). I would also use it should we need to go online. It can directly link with google classroom to show the work I'm doing on their end through the technology. We have had to go online so many times because of COVID, and I want to be prepared for not only the students who need to quarantine, but also if the students have to go fully online due to COVID cases. I also want to use it in class to help the students' ability to show their work for other students in class as well. The pen is very easy to use and would be a great way for hands-on learning for students in front of class as well!
