My Students

HRES is up in the beautiful hills of Massachusetts. Our students are from the three surrounding towns and we come together at this lovely little school. HRES is a unique little school that has an agricultural focus and a HAY program. A large number of our students are from low-income homes.

Our students are excited to be part of a baseball team.

My Project

When you’re part of a team, there are so many benefits. Being part of a team teaches responsibility, respect, determination, and focus. It is no different for the students at our school. They all are excited to be together, learning the game and having fun.

Right now all the gear and equipment are broken down or nonexistent.

The teams need the most basic of baseball needs—baseball helmets and catchers mitts. This gear is for the entire school! All grades from PK-6th have been given the opportunity to be part of a team. Let’s make them feel like they deserve to have new equipment as they learn this game through their amazing volunteer coaches. Every child deserves to learn the game without having the frustration of broken or nonexistent gear.
