Ms. Bambling from Bronx NY is requesting Books through DonorsChoose, the #1 classroom funding site for teachers.

A Tale of Two Classrooms!

My students need 65 copies of Charles Dicken's "A Tale of Two Cities" and 9 other books that were inspired by or written during the time period of the French Revolution.

In college my students will have to make connections between what they are learning in each class - help them start making those connections now! I teach 10th grade Global History at a high-need school in New York.

It is statistically proven that students learn better when they are exposed to the same content in mulitple subject areas. The 10th grade ELA teacher and I would like to form a partnership in helping our students learn about the French Revolution. Unfortunately, there is no money left in our school's budget for books.

In History class my students will learn about the Three Estates, the causes, and impacts of the French Revolution. In order to work with the same content in ELA, we are requesting a class set of Charles Dicken's "A Tale of Two Cities" ,as well as, nine other books that deal with the French Revolution that can aid our students in both classrooms. By making these connections now, our students will be more prepared for their study of this subject in college, as well as, helping them with the college skill of making connections between books and classrooms.

With your help we can ensure that our students have a solid understanding of the French Revolution, which will help them not only in multiple subjects this year of high school, but will also help prepare them for college!
