Help me give my students a table where we can work together to ensure all students have everything they need to be successful during math and language arts instruction.
My students come from all over the Las Vegas Valley. They are a diverse population of students working at their level of understanding in a rigorous environment. Our school mission is to bring forth future leaders through a fusion of classical education and STEM instruction in an environment that promotes liberty and virtue.
Our school vision is Knowledge, Freedom, Leadership.
We are working hard in and out of our classrooms to provide everything our students need to be successful.
My students carry many things in their backpacks including school supplies, their lunches, and personal belongings. They also carry the weight of responsibility, as they strive to represent their family in the most positive way through their behavior and achievement. My students are AMAZING!
My Project
During the instructional day, we have time set aside to work with small groups of learners struggling with the content. We make time to spend with these students because we know it makes a difference in their understanding and it boosts their confidence during whole group instruction.
We need this table desperately in our classroom!
Currently, when I pull small groups of students, we sit on the floor in the front corner of my classroom. My students NEVER complain, but I know if we were sitting at a table it would be easier for all students to see what we were working on, and for me to monitor their progress.
